How To Record Ipad Into Garageband On Mac

If you’re a guitarist who’s just getting started with GarageBand and are dying to jump in a start recording, you may be overwhelmed with the different gear options available to you.

Connect your iPad to your Mac. Your connected iPad appears in a Finder window sidebar under Locations. On your Mac, select the icon for your iPad, click Files, then click GarageBand in the Apps list. Drag the song from the GarageBand list to the Finder. You can open a GarageBand project in GarageBand on your Mac, or play the audio file in the Music app on your computer. To record using GarageBand instruments: Select the GarageBand keyboard track. Go Window Show Musical Typing, or use the shortcut ⌘ + O to open the online MIDI keyboard. Hit the record icon and use the keys on your Mac keyboard to play your music. Click the record icon again to stop recording.
